FAQ’S
Got a question not answered below?
Will there be in ceremony in the USA?
Maybe sometime in 2010 for the people that don’t have passports, Pepper might choose to host a dessert party in Southern California. Pepper loves chocolates and tacos.
Why did you pick these weird places?
As you can tell we enjoy traveling and experiencing the wonders of the world. It’s natural for us to want to celebrate our union abroad and celebrate it in the countries where we were born.
Honestly, do you want to go to another wedding at some banquet hall or hotel and eat dry chicken and over cooked steak?
How much is this really going to cost me?
It depends on what kind of a traveler you are. Once the airfare is taken care of, everything else is cheap! A bowl of authentic, yummy phở is less than one US dollar in Vietnam!
What events are hosted?
All welcome dinners, the beach party and of course the wedding.
Is Pepper going?
We regret that Pepper will not be able to join us. She does not like flying. Plus, we didn’t want someone to mistake her for a meal.
Is Pakistan safe to visit?
Ummm theoretically it’s fine. We have taken all the precautions to ensure our guest will be fine. All Pakistani attendees will be given VIP treatment. Transfers from airport, guided tours, personal servants and more. Just don’t eat from the street vendors.
Isn’t Vietnam a communist country?
In Karyn’s mind it is.
What will the weather be like?
With global warming who knows. The weather should be mild and nice. Bring a coat for Northern Vietnam and a swimsuit for Bangkok. Pakistan will sunny and nice in January.
How many hours of flight time are we talking?
You might want to bring War and Peace.
What are travel times between cities and sites?
TBA. The night train to SAPA is 8 hours. Hanoi to Ha Long Bay is 3 hours by car.
Are airport transfers included?
Only in Pakistan.
Is there going to be wedding cake and bouquet toss and all that stuff?
You bet! Bonus points if you catch the bouquet and fall overboard.
Do we have to wear traditional outfits?
When in Rome do as the Romans do! Only if you want.
Do I need to wear a veil in Pakistan?
No, but females should dress conservatively, no shorts, skirts, tank tops or cleavage. Save these outfits for Hanoi nightlife or NYE in Bangkok.
I heard there is no booze in Pakistan, won’t there be a toast?
There will be a toast.
Should I exchange money before going?
Considering the US dollar will be worthless in 6 months, why bother. Buy Pesos!
What are the currency exchange rates?
Who designed this cool website?
The groom and the bride.
I don’t like your navigation?
Like life there is much to explore on this site, so look around.
What else should I pack?
Bug repellent.
Do we need our swimsuit?
It wont be beach weather in Northern Vietnam. But we will be going to beaches. Plan accordingly.
Do we need shots?
Check with your local HMO or call my cousin who is a doctor. NO!
Will my iPhone or Blackberry work?
NO! So leave the damn thing home for once.
Do we have to get you a present? Are you registered anywhere?
Not if you join us!
Will I need a weird travel adaptor for my gadgets?
Yes, you will need adaptors and converters.
